The pan is an excellent quality and comfortable to use despite the weight typical of a carbon steel pan (1.8Kg). As with any carbon steel pan it requires a little care to begin with but after a few weeks of use it requires very little care - just scrub with warm water to clean after using. I'm hoping for a 32cm version one day.
Good thing!!!...no issues with sticking, cups a little in the middle when hot
I’ve always been a big cast iron fan, but I wanted something with similar performance that was a little lighter and easier to handle for sautéing vegetables and everyday cooking. The Yahgan definitely delivers on the quality. I love the design, the texture of the cooking surface, and the thought and intention that clearly went into making this pan. It feels incredibly solid and built to last.
My only surprise was the weight. I expected it to be noticeably lighter than my cast iron skillet, but honestly, it feels just about as heavy.
That said, I’m absolutely keeping this powerhouse. It cooks beautifully, feels like it’ll last forever, and I can already see it becoming a family heirloom.
Didn't use it that much, but thus far seems to be a great pan.
Only used pan half a dozen times. So far cooks better than non stick pans with a more even cook across the entire food surface. Only had trouble with sticking once when cooking sliced chicken breast, most probably operator inexperience. Overall happy with product but I think is a little overpriced.
